Rich uses environmentally sound techniques and approaches, and puts the health of the soil, creatures and plants on an equal footing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rich began his journey with practical work at the age of 14, working his school holidays on an Estate in Mid-Sussex &#8211; his love for growing led Rich to convert part of a field into his first no dig, organic vegetable garden, after leaving University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now furnished with decades of experience, built on those initial forays, Rich has converted his passion for horticulture and growing into full time work, in order to help people create and maintain beautiful, productive, natural spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rich has an MSc in Wildlife Management and Conservation, enabling him to blend ecology and a deep understanding of natural systems, with horticulture.&nbsp; His undergraduate degree in Physical Geography gave Rich a firm appreciation for how life and the solid Earth function together, in the thin band found covering the Earth&#8217;s surface where we survive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rich achieved a distinction for his RHS Level 2 Practical qualification, and a Merit for his RHS level 2 Principles course, which he completed in June 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rich has decades of experience developing and looking after his own garden, growing produce organically, and preserving his harvests in different ways, for use year round.
